Computers Advent: Endearing Friendship-Part II

In earlier times computers was pure DOS based systems. They were very unlike today's computers, which are moving increasingly towards a "Visual" computing. The mouse on the basis of most of the Visual Computing, was an unknown entity, and there is a many years later became! Imagine a computer that does not have a mouse is today? Yet, which were days with your entire computer was based on DOS if you have quite a "set" computer DOS commands to perform some tasks. Therefore, first, that I practice opittujen per computers was MS-DOS commands. Form a/s, COPY a (b): (a), DIR, CD, (b): Wow! At what time of the day it was! It was pure Romance, if ever loved computers!

And then came to the-Beginners all Purpose symbolic instruction code or more people-BASIC Language!! This is the first computer language that I disasters. The entire system is DOS based, had to be used in a command prompt (now called DOS prompt) through language. I remember the days still treasured moments and golden step explains that call it. ' F2 ' keys "run" (or run) program, CTRL + ALT + DEL, Print Screen ...This list goes on ... it's amazing that, even if the programming was then compared with no extra work today, that approach cannot extract from your computer was just amazing!

Really I think two major single stepping stones, which are one of the most important to get solid base towards computers understand knowing is not suitable for running MS-DOS and BASIC. DOS commands show how computers actually work to process and BASIC is by far the best language learning program concepts. I was fortunate to have been able to learn from both.Unfortunately, these days has become so much Visual medium-computers. BASIC has been replaced by VISUAL BASIC to determine whether the true programming Certainly not!

As children, used the thrill of unexplained a kind of "in progress" programs. Simple programs to add two numbers, sort numbers, string manipulations, was to see the program to run and to provide the expected output of pure joy!

I was clearly to be back up to the day I first realized probably in programming and computers in my Love.It was said "your computer stay backs" when we had to stay back to the computer after the class or the practicals school really do not know why., but probably I was sleepy look to my face that my teacher asked me to stand gave me the program uses the impromptu for which there was a Black board memory program! I was writing, the program began, still in line at a time, and, further, and bingo! It was made! It was clear the computer showed me yet again was true my friend!

Well, how will be closed without the black and white Word follows these times.More specifically he was entitled to at the beginning of the CGA monitors THE BBC and was IBM. Screen green kind of appearance is written in green you can command the computer expects the blinking cursor with text.Improve became black and white monitors that showed now against the white text on a black background.Eventually this replaced the VGA displays.

Come times when one wishes to somehow that technology is turned on in their present form. Previously viewed me so-one to make this effective and specialized machinery had been in it can be today's form.

This has gone Era, an era of. saw their purest computers to connect to the computers they were born and developed. it was an era of screeching matrix printers, CVTs and a floppy disk. When programming and computers were laid down by any of the computers in a glorious era. the era of the past ...

My friendship with this friend of mine certainly is always the same.

Regulation-Late 80s ... Place-India ... Technology-computers ... School boy takes first turn on your computer. He becomes the first hands on a computer that fascinates him no end! He stare, similar TV-screen, he considers it the keyboard ... Welcome to open its doors in inquisitive kid computers in the world ...

I consider myself very privileged to have as part of the dawn of the era of computers in India and the wonderful endearing. School boy it was the first meeting was this magic with the computer player, a computer that has the meaning given to it was endearing to mount, which last a lifetime friendship at the beginning of the

At that time, Computers were very sensitive to gadgets. We had a big computer room of our school housing some of the 50 odd PCs. were so vociferously exemplified all of us to make sure that your computer must be protected against damp and dust of any spec, our computer room stood proudly tall fitted with 6 Air conditioners at the same time as the owning AC was out-n-out luxury in itself. We were all necessary to free flight at our shoes and place them outside the diluted line before you can proceed to the Holy group.

The computers that we had at that time, basic, there are two types of were-IBM PC and the BBC-computer.Your computer's processor used in the Tower type processors that we have today (more a VCR) frame horizontally. Used two departure feed to drive, a floppy drive (a) and (b), which were the posts (a) and (b) monitor the drive. At the beginning, we are accustomed to floppies was a great 5 3/4 inch disks, and it was much later that 3.25-inch floppy disks have become many years later is present. The use of such an exciting Prospect, only your floppy positioning and locking notch and booted up your computer.

Therefore, when we took our places in our computers share one PC between two students, our teacher began his normal rounds are engaged in "Bootable Disk" in his hand and our computers to start us one at a time. At that time had no hard disks: blow:-difficult to imagine today, but its true! You'll be amazed at the way it sounds, the computer actually starts from the floppy disk, and all of its wonderful force working on the mere random access memory (RAM) and runs it was instructed to do:) showed What we today casually refer to today, the operating system was the days referred to in the Disk Operating System (DOS), and in most cases, had almost certainly can be found on the question paper extends throughout the form.

Floppy disk in the box used for treasure, all of us each of us is a proud one and display it with. Content on behalf of the two most popular brands Amkette-that these times there had been much sought after at stationer shops in the immediate vicinity of the hot property! You can only wonder if those brands got lost in the world: () as today Technology batteries, which was pretty much quieter and set out in the back, and, therefore, this new little tech case came as soothing shower of deprived race tech thirsty generation:) jäähdytetäänKustannuslaskennan anywhere between 30 and 40 rupees or abuse, was that at the age of the collection of floppies. No wonder we used to be proud of our disk boxes, as we are now, our mobiles!I remember the time when the magazine was brought by one of the problems its freedom to a floppy disk was mad rush times, Grab a copy of the mag among the children of the school!I must confess the same given export at least 10 copies of the useless magazine is MU.What times they were!

OK, so back to my computer class 80s, start your computer and all the defined to go, the next step was to load the BASIC Language teacher from her to the other computer is "master floppies"-as we are.Bingo!, and we were ready for: DYstäväni was for me the chance to play with and talk does not proceed to analyse its waiting for one at the same time, I was eager. new found friend and is a precondition, first there is a need for better information for the language)

No join me in my journey to our future problems of this series "Lost technology computers. I hope you liked the first edition of our weekly series on the basis of experience gained. So wait for the next Edition-the same time, same place – and we promise the journey can be endearing and remember!
