Wozjob Apple 1 sold by almost a quarter of a million dollars

Picture of wiki: built hand Apple-1

Apple-1 team was built hand in Steve Wozniak parents garage. Steve Job came up with the idea of selling it. First, Apple-1 was demonstrated in April 1976 in the HomeBrew Computer Club in Palo Alto.

1 Apple originally sold for $500 when it was sold to a reseller of 1976. It was made of wood and they are billed as the first "personal computer". The Apple-1 by 33 percent, giving him a $666.66 price marked retailer.

An Apple apparently I sold for $50,000 in an auction in 1999, with another apparently selling in 2009 for $17,500.

Fast forward to November 2010. This same Apple I (with the serial number of 82) sold for $178.000 ($ 213,600 including the ' buyer 'premium') at Christie's in London, making it by far the highest price paid for this model to date, at £ 133,250 ($210,000) auction house.

The high value of this example in particular is probably due to the rare documents and packaging are offered for sale, instead of using your computer; to know (and among others) the original packaging (with tag return showing direction, the original from Apple Computer Inc 'headquarters' parents of Steve Jobs being his garage), a letter personally written and signed work (technical questions about team) and the original invoice showing 'Steven' as the seller.
