Has the sound on your computer system suddenly stopped working? If so, then I suggest you follow these simple fixes that I have provided below.
1. Check whether the problem is hardware related:
In order to do this, you should check the sound card; make sure it's properly positioned in the motherboards slot. Then check the speakers and the cable connections at the back make sure all the cables are in the correct ports. If you find that all of these things are in order then you should follow my next step.
2. Check the integrity of your sound card drivers:
In most cases, the loss of sound is due to a sound card driver issue. In order to find out whether or not that's the case, I suggest you follow these steps:
a) Go to the control panel
b) Then click on Printers and Other Hardware
c) Then click on the system icon on the top left hand side menu
d) Once system properties has loaded up, click on the hardware tab
e) Then click on the device manager button
Check under sound, video and game controllers to see whether there are any yellow exclamation marks. If you see one, then it means you'll have to reinstall the drivers for your sound device. If you don't see anything, then I suggest you follow my last step.
3. Check the audio settings on your computer system
If you find that there's no problem with your sound card drivers, then you should do the follow:
a) Click on the audio icon located in the systems tray
b) Check all the audio levels make sure none of them have been muted or set too low
c) If you find that there are some, please raise the volume
