Computers are a main part of our life now a day. We use it for our social media outlet, whether its facebook, twitter, You Tube, or simply emails. We are on it 2,3, or 4 times a day. We depend on it to help with personal data like our online banking, our bills are all paid online, we shop on line and we order food online. You might say we use it more than our cars, vans, and SUVs'.
So the question needs to be asked, why don't we take better care of our computers?? Just like in maintaining our vehicle, we get the oil changed and we change the air filter. We check the tire pressure, we get the plugs changed, we even wash and clean the inside and outside of our vehicles. We need to have more care for our computers.
Most computer retailers don't tell you anything about this. You have to bring in the system and leave it with them to see what is wrong. They will then tell you it needs this or that and it will cost you. You pay it because you have no choice and you won't the system back as soon as possible.
Well, we will tell you some of the stuff you can do right at home. Some of this stuff is built right into Windows. Some of the other tools you can find for free to download. This will help get rid of thing that slow your computer down. Things like Adaware, Spyware, virus's, junk file, cookies, and others that mess up the computer system. Think of the money and frustration you will save buy keeping your computer working better and keeping it running faster. And best of all it can be done at home for little or no money!
There are lots of things you can do to maintain your computer. One these is how to free up some resources to make your computer run faster. This can be achieved by starting in Windows XP then go to RUN and type in the word MSCONFIG, while in Windows 7 type that in the Search bar. Once you type that in and hit enter a grey box will pop out. Across the top are tabs then go to the STARTUP tab and click on it. A list of programs will be displayed, the ones with the check marks in the boxes are the programs running on your computer or on your taskbar. Uncheck the checkboxes of the programs which is not needed.
